Painterly Photography

"Buckets of Joy"

"Art has always brought me great joy.

It allows me to escape into a world filled

                                  with soothing colors and fantasy."

                                                                    Angela Inscoe

Since childhood, I have worked with many different art  mediums including oils, pastels,  photography and ceramics. I have studied with noted artist, author and master gardener Elizabeth Murray of Carmel, California. Atlanta's Elizabeth Grimes has also influenced my work and Mary Jo Brezney, of Asheville, has been a valuable mentor.

Although I have enjoyed creating art through various mediums, I am now devoting my time to the process of Polaroid Manipulation. I have been perfecting this technique over the last seven years. This method of art known as painterly   photography, produces a composition that is somewhere between a photograph and a painting.

I live on Seabrook Island, South Carolina. The coastal areas of the Lowcountry and the historic charm of downtown Charleston provide inspiration for my work.  My husband, Grant, and our two children are my biggest advocates. My grandson Charles is the light of my life.
